So Cyber Monday is a day away and GameStop’s only card deal is that Charizard ex Super Premium Collection. Target and Walmart both also have the Charizard collection on sale. The dang thing must have sold so poorly that they’re trying to get rid of stock while pretending it’s all about giving consumers a good deal lol
But that’s sad, a single current deal on trading card products. GameStop did have a $25 ETB sale earlier in the week but it was certainly difficult to get any. Personally, when I went in to the store it turned out they had started their sale a day before the official date and had next to no ETBs left.
Black Friday has sucked Pokemon wise and now Cyber Monday is going to suck too. Target had an ETB sale as well that everyone went nuts for and scalpers and hoarders, anecdotally, wiped out every store’s stock. The only reason people seemed to get any is because Target / vendors put out more awhile after the first surge of people left.
Walmart had their $15 tins that included Evolving Skies booster packs. People did love that. But they, just like Target’s ETBs, sold out almost instantly. Not as many people as you would like actually got to experience the deal.
I don’t know why Black Friday deals have been so weak this year. And companies / retailers did do that thing where they raise prices before Black Friday and then cut them down to the NORMAL price while pretending it’s a good deal. So that sucks even more.
I expect Cyber Monday will be just as bad as Black Friday. So that’s fun.
