So GameStop has SUPPOSEDLY stopped taking PSA submissions from stores that are set to close in the new year. This solves the problem of getting everyone’s cards back from PSA.
I have no idea if the rumor is true but it sounds about right. It would create quite a mess to just shut down stores that had outstanding PSA orders. I mean you could try shipping them to another store but the number of stores slated to be closed by GameStop may be massive. People could be looking at 3 hour drives to get their cards back from another store.
GameStop rumors aren’t at a fever pitch yet but they may end up there in the coming weeks. Employees seem to be dropping a lot of facts about the state of things at GameStop and despite having $4 billion in cash things do not sound good.
It’s sad that GameStop is just a shell of its former self and this is where we are, sitting here wondering how PSA submissions will get back to us. Of course that wouldn’t be necessary if GameStop customer service would answer some questions. Hopefully GameStop will outline PSA submissions when they inevitably announce their store closures.
