GameStop is quietly closing stores across the country. It started yesterday and has continued into today with numerous stores being told they were shutting down. Some employees have been told they have 2 weeks, some 3 weeks, some are getting transferred to other stores…
But this has been done quietly, with managers supposedly forbidden from clarifying to lower level employees about what exactly is happening.
Again supposedly, this is to keep workers from walking out and simply leaving stores full of inventory behind with no one to do the work of getting rid of it.
It’s all rumor right now and that’s how GameStop’s C suite probably like it. Anyway, if you’re one of the fired employees / have your store closing I’m sorry and good luck out there.
