lol… personal responsibility… ethics… what’s that?
You’ll remember that a couple of days ago it came out that Monica Crowley had seemingly plagiarized large portions of her book from a variety of previously published authors.
Afterwards, no real statement was released.
No remorse.
No accepting personal responsibility.
Instead, Trump’s little people turned the matter into a political issue.
Pretty neato isn’t it.
Well, it turns out the wonderful ethically work of Monica Crowley didn’t stop there! Noooo… why only steal a little when you can steal a lot. Journalists went further down the rabbit hole and discovered that large portions of Monica’s PhD thesis was blatantly plagiarized… sad!
Conservative commentator Monica Crowley, who is slated to serve in a top national security communications role in Donald Trump’s presidential administration, plagiarized thousands of words of her 2000 dissertation for her Columbia University Ph.D., a CNN KFile review has found.
On Monday, Politico reported that it found more than a dozen examples of plagiarism in Crowley’s Ph.D. dissertation. CNN’s KFile has found nearly 40 lengthy instances of Crowley lifting paragraphs from numerous sources, including several scholarly texts, the Associated Press, and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. The revelation comes on the heels of another CNN KFile investigation, which found more than 50 instances of plagiarism in Crowley’s 2012 book, “What The (Bleep) Just Happened.” On Tuesday, the book’s publisher, HarperCollins, announced that it would stop selling the book until “the author has the opportunity to source and revise the material.”

Here are a few of the examples cited on the CNN story above…
Yeah. That’s great.
The only people so far who have accepted a small modicum of responsibility?
Harper Collins.
“The book, which has reached the end of its natural sales cycle, will no longer be offered for purchase until such time as the author has the opportunity to source and revise the material,” HarperCollins said in a statement to CNN’s KFile.

But even then… it’s kind of a bullsquirt statement.
Frankly I find it incredibly depressing that nobody is legitimately doing anything here… it’s almost like the only people who care is you and me.
What The (Bleep) Just Happened on Amazon

Amazon has seemingly made sure that Monica Crowley’s book does not turn up in search results anymore… so that’s nice.
It also seems that somebody else on this earth is either just as bothered by Monica’s thieving as I am or at least smelled an opportunity for comedy and profit.
Monica Crowley’s Heart Wrenching Apology to Stealing Other People’s Work
lol just kidding
She hasn’t apologized for shit.
Just some inane Christmas wishes on twitter and facebook.
Again, I am not going to talk about the morality of stealing other people’s shit.
You’re all perfectly well aware of that.
I feel we should all be focusing on the resolution to her stealing… which apparently still eludes the responsible parties.
You’ll also notice that even when the words are Monica’s… they’re really only just different transitions.
