Here’s what the company reported compared with what Wall Street was expecting for the quarter ending in January, based on a survey of analysts by LSEG, formerly known as Refinitiv:
https://www.cnbc.com/2024/02/21/nvidia-nvda-earnings-report-q4-2024.html
- Earnings: $5.16 per share, adjusted, versus $4.64 per share expected.
- Revenue: $22.10 billion, versus $20.62 billion expected.
So nearly $2 billion in revenue than expected and 50 extra cents per share in earnings! All thanks to the insatiable appetite for AI hardware. And next quarter they’re expecting even more in sales!
You gotta wonder just how long it’ll take for a competitor to enter the market and take away some of Nvidia’s shine. Hopefully AMD or even Intel will create some competitive products because there’s no way the current market situation of Nvidia dominating everything can continue.
