So it seems Prismatic Evolutions booster bundles have sold out in a day on the Pokemon Center website! The hype is very real for this set. However it remains to be seen if that hype will actually continue once people have the cards in their hands. It’s just different once you get the cards in your hands, sometimes they looke better and sometimes they look worse. I’m leaning towards Prismatic Evolutions cards actually looking better in person. But at the moment sentiment seems to be that the cards are ugly.
The booster bundles are not the only products sold out on the Pokemon Center website. Both the Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box and the Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box are also sold out. You’re going to have to wait for the next product drop on the Pokemon Center to actually get something.

So that’s SEVEN more product drops on the Pokemon Center website we all have to look forward to. And that’s seven more times product is going to sell out within a day I’m guessing.
I can see Prismatic Evolutions becoming a popular and expensive set, even more expensive than 151. I think the art isn’t all that bad and like I said it’ll be different once everyone has had a chance to see the cards in real life. The hype right now is pretty strong and I’m betting we may see even more scalpers at Costco once the product hits the floor there. And you’ve got to remember this is a special set. Print runs are likely to be more limited than with a normal set. We may see very little product available which will obviously raise prices.
Ultimately… it’s just going to be a good set. Definitely better than Surging Sparks and more expensive than 151. Order what you can while you can! Scalpers are already circling!
