Since when is somebody going on a hike with their father not only news worthy but “top” news?
That isn’t news… it’s voyeurism.
It doesn’t matter to you, it doesn’t change your life, there isn’t important information, it isn’t happening in your community… it is not news. It is the equivalent of reading articles about Angelina Jolie and her children.
And for Reuters… I’m sure deep down they know that it isn’t news. But I’m sure they don’t particularly care. “Other media companies are reporting on it, why shouldn’t we? We need ad revenue too!!!”
It’s a race to the bottom of the content barrel to grab as many clicks, views, and ad dollars as possible… and that’s kinda sad.
