Scalpers And Hoarders Are Clearing Out Costcos Of Blooming Waters Boxes

Scalpers and hoarders are clearing out Costcos of Blooming Waters boxes. This is despite Blooming Waters not being officially released yet. Either Costco Corporate made a mistake or a number of Costco employees made a mistake but regardless pallets of Blooming Waters boxes have been dropped across several locations.

And people are fighting over them.

If you were thinking you’d stop by Costco and grab a box for the fun of it think again. Pallets have already been cleared and people have been grabbing at each other, wrestling, etc.

It’s just not worth it. And my god don’t bring your kid. They don’t need to see grown adults acting like that over a hobby that centers around shiny cardboard.

I imagine Blooming Waters will actually be available longer than people expect. I think it’ll still be a little hard to get a box but I imagine at some point in the future you’ll be able to just walk into Costco and casually grab a box. I say this because I think The Pokemon Company has printed more 151 than people are expecting… Just like they’ve committed to reprinting Prismatic Evolutions, I think they were already printing more 151.

It’s pure speculation of course. Nobody actually has the best insights into The Pokemon Company’s full printing schedule, quantities, and distributions. It’s not like the tech sector where companies purposely leak data like that to news outlets. Instead Pokemon news is more centered around which sets are coming next and what the artwork is rather than “oh yeah The Pokemon Company printed one billion units of 151 over a stretch of 22 print runs”.

Anyway, maybe your Costco still has some Blooming Waters. They might set out a new pallet this evening after all the scalpers and hoarders have taken all the boxes and left. You can try calling ahead or just show up, your call. I wish you good luck!
