Wilbur Ross – When Making America Great Means Hating its Values

mike pence: hey donald im going to Jackasses R Us do you want anything
d trump: oh! oh! could you get me one of those bigly nice wilbur ross dolls???

ROSS: There’s no question that they’re liberalizing their society. And I think the other thing that was fascinating to me: There was not a single hint of a protester anywhere there during the whole time we were there. Not one guy with a bad placard, instead there was...

CNBC: But Secretary Ross, that may be not necessarily because they don’t have those feelings there, but because they control people and don’t allow to them to come and express their feelings quite the same as we do here.

ROSS: In theory, that could be true. But, boy, there was certainly no sign of it, there wasn’t a single effort of any incursion. There wasn’t anything. The mood was a genuinely good mood.

Saudi Arabia has zero tolerance for dissent while also heavily subsidizing a huge number of Saudi citizens…

Not only is there no tolerance for people’s speech the population is in essence bribed to maintain the status quo… why criticize the government when they give you money for nothing? (70 percent of working Saudis are employed by the government¹)

A court in Saudi Arabia has handed down a guilty verdict in the case of a professed atheist accused of posting hundreds of tweets denying God’s existence and criticizing religion.

His sentence: a decade in prison, a fine and a flogging.

According to a Saturday report in the Saudi newspaper Al-Watan, the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice — the Saudi religious police force whose duties include monitoring social media — found more than 600 tweets posted by an unnamed 28-year-old dissenter.

According to the report, the man refused to repent for the tweets and said that he had the right to assert his opinions.

In addition to the 10-year prison term, the court sentenced him to pay 20,000 riyals — about $5,330 — and receive a beating consisting of 2,000 lashes.

That’s nice.

“you tweeted something I don’t like enjoy your 2000 lashes”

Now you tell me, does that sound like anything a conservative or even the Trump Administration’s lackeys would support for the US? The jailing and murders of people for speaking their mind? The employment of virtually everybody by the government? Isn’t that a conservative’s literal nightmare?

And you know what…

Protest is the most American thing you can do…
How do you think America even came to be???

The thought that protesting is bad and the implication that protests are a sign of malicious intent and should be suppressed is beyond insane. It goes against everything that makes America that shining beacon of freedom that it is.

You know what, I shouldn’t have implied that Wilbur Ross is a jackass. Jackasses, male donkeys, are simply amazing creatures. They are powerful, intelligent, and lovely. Wilbur Ross is simply an ignorant old man deluded by his own wealth… in other words… an asshole.

  1. You also have to love how wilbur, despite having immense resources he could use to properly fill out government forms, has consistently failed to properly disclose information and divest assets. Funny how it seems every single time that what wasn’t divested or disclosed went on to make him money. A coincidence, I’m sure.
